If you have already done Mehrangarh and Jaisalmer Fort, this is the week that gives you the rest of it — the Bishnoi belt, a printing village, abandoned settlements that are not Kuldhara, and dunes with no camps on them.
The forts are still there if you want them, but they are optional rather than structural, which is the whole idea.

Arrive Jodhpur
Overnight in Jodhpur
Transfer in, evening in the old city away from the tourist lanes.
Day 2
The Bishnoi belt
Overnight in Jodhpur
South and east of Jodhpur: weavers, potters, black buck, khejri woodland, and lunch in a village house.
Day 3
Block printing and north to Osian
Overnight in Osian
A printing village in the morning, then Osian, its temples, and a long ride into the dunes. Camp on the sand.
Day 4
West through the villages
Overnight in Jaisalmer
Desert track rather than highway, stopping wherever the day suggests, arriving in Jaisalmer by evening.
Day 5
Jaisalmer, sideways
Overnight in Jaisalmer
The fort's working quarters, a weavers' neighbourhood, and havelis nobody photographs. Afternoon free.
Day 6
Abandoned villages and a fly camp
Overnight in Jaisalmer
Out west past Kuldhara to settlements with no visitors at all, then a camp on unmarked dune with food cooked on a fire.
Day 7
Depart Jaisalmer
First light on the sand, breakfast, and onward transfer.
