The usual complaint about Rajasthan is that it becomes a sequence of forts seen through a car window. Eight days across Jodhpur, Osian and Jaisalmer fixes that arithmetic: you get repeat mornings in the same city, time in village households, and two nights on sand.
Nothing here is rushed and no day has two long drives in it. It is the most restful version of western Rajasthan we run.

The Bishnoi villages

A full day in the villages east of the city — weaving, pottery, black buck and a home-cooked lunch.
Day 4
Osian
Overnight in Osian
North to Osian for the temples, an afternoon in the town, and a camel ride into the dunes at sunset. Camp on the sand.
Day 5
Osian to Jaisalmer
Overnight in Jaisalmer
The desert road west, taken slowly, with stops wherever they present themselves.
Day 6
Jaisalmer
Overnight in Jaisalmer
The fort at seven, the havelis mid-morning, and the afternoon free.
Day 7
Deep desert
Overnight in Jaisalmer
West past Khuri to villages and dunes with no tourism, camping on open sand with food cooked over a fire.

Ride back at first light, breakfast, and onward transfer.
