Sunset is when everybody goes, so sunrise is when the desert is actually empty. We collect you in the dark, drive out to Khuri — quieter than Sam, and better for morning light — and put you on a camel as the sky starts to go grey behind you.

You get an hour and a half of first light, a flask of tea on the sand, and the sight of a dune surface no one has walked on since yesterday. Back in Jaisalmer by mid-morning, with the whole day still in front of you.
