Four days is enough for western Rajasthan if the driving is arranged properly and nobody wastes a morning. This does that: one substantial day in Jodhpur, the transfer day used rather than endured, and Jaisalmer plus a desert night at the end.
It is the itinerary we suggest when someone has a week in Rajasthan and wants three days of it in Udaipur.

Mehrangarh at opening, then west across the desert with a stop at Osian. Into Jaisalmer for sunset on the fort.
Day 3
Jaisalmer and the dunes
Overnight in Jaisalmer
Fort and havelis in the morning; dunes, camel ride, dinner and a night under canvas.
Day 4
Depart Jaisalmer
Breakfast at the camp and onward transfer.
