Camel-owning households around Osian still use the animals for haulage and grazing. We ride with one of those families rather than with an operator, which means the route is theirs, the pace is theirs, and what you see is the day they were having anyway.
It is plainer than a standard safari, and better. Expect to be asked questions as often as you ask them.
