Six nights is the point at which Goa stops being a beach holiday and becomes a place. This week adds the Western Ghats interior — Dudhsagar and a sanctuary day — to the coastal and heritage circuit.

Dudhsagar

An early start for the waterfall — jeep in through the Bhagwan Mahaveer sanctuary, and the walk to the base before the crowd.
Day 4
Spice hills and temples
Overnight in South Goa
Ponda: a working plantation, a thali lunch, and the Mangueshi and Shanta Durga temples in the afternoon.
Day 5
Old Goa, the islands, and north
Overnight in North Goa
The churches in the morning, Divar by ferry at midday, and on to north Goa.
Day 6
North Goa
Overnight in North Goa
Markets, cliffs and Chapora at sunset, with the afternoon free.
Day 7
Departure
Transfer to Mopa or Dabolim.
