It is touristy and it is also genuinely good: the Mandovi at dusk gives you Panjim's Portuguese waterfront, the two forts guarding the river mouth, and a view of Fontainhas from the water that you cannot get any other way.
There is a folk dance troupe on board performing dekhni and fugdi. We book the upper deck and get you there early enough to sit on the river side.
