Indian Ocean humpback dolphins are resident along this coast and the pods are fairly predictable if you go early. We use a small boat with a skipper who fishes here, which matters — he knows where the bait is, and the dolphins follow the bait.
Sightings are usual but not guaranteed, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. The run past Aguada and the Sinquerim headland is worth the trip regardless.
