Our own route through the parts of the state that do not appear in the brochures: coves with no road, Neolithic rock carvings, a night in the forest, the temples that moved inland in the sixteenth century, and the river islands.
There is still a beach most evenings. It is simply not one anyone else is on.
Highlights
- Coves reached only by boat or on foot
- A night inside the Western Ghats forest
- Neolithic carvings at Usgalimal
- The river islands, and the temples that fled inland
