Day one runs west of Jaisalmer through abandoned and half-abandoned settlements, including several nobody stops at, and ends camping on open dune. Day two comes back east through working villages and finishes at Osian or Jodhpur depending on where you are going next.

Nothing on either day has a ticket counter. It is the itinerary we recommend to people who have already done Rajasthan once and found it crowded.
