The ramponkars still net from the beach here, hauling in by hand in lines of twenty, and the boats come back between five and seven. What happens on the sand afterwards — the sorting, the shouting, the auction — is the most alive hour in Goa.
Afterwards you eat: fish, rice and a curry in a village house, cooked from whatever came in. You will not want lunch.
